"Real People" - Odiham, January 30, 2001

On Tuesday January 30, 2001 a motley collection of WorldPlay bridge players gathered in the Next Door Bistro at the George Hotel in Odiham, Hampshire, UK.

We came from many different areas, Northampton, Shropshire, Hampshire, Sussex, Berkshire, Oregon, London and the age range of the party was from 27 - 70+. It was interesting that we all got on so well and had a really enjoyable day.

The food Next Door was good and the service excellent, but sadly they had an aversion to card-playing!! Luckily one of our party was a member of a local Health Club and managed to acquire the use of their conference room for the afternoon - our grateful thanks to AHanc74114 and the Beechdown Health Club. They treated us superbly, tables just the right size! comfortable chairs, endless coffee, tea and biscuits...... all with a smile and at short notice.
