Tuesday was spent in shopping malls filling up the suitcase with hot weather clothes at prices you would not believe in England - just
wait till you see Wartie in a caftan!
On Thursday we went on a 2hr trail ride through La Posta Quemada ranch near a place called Vail - a great way to really see the desert and get close to some of those amazing saguaro.
On Sunday Jill (Ace's wife) took me to the Desert Museum - a truly wowing experience hence the many pictures and then to see the San Xavier Mission and a taste of frybread, a grossly fattening version of a tortilla served with almost anything you care to name from sugar or honey to cheese or chili.
and after a lengthy discussion with American Airlines about cancelled flights I am off to New Zealand next
