What can one say about Jamaica? It is beautiful, dirty, hot, full of mosquitos and sandflies, wonderfully verdant, barren, delightful and shocking - a land of contrasts with wonderfully kind and hospitable people. To see it in its current economic condition is saddening. I loved it there and hope to return - next time without the cough and better supplied with anti "mozzie" cream.
I saw some beautiful plants, ate some weird and wonderful food, experienced a longish drive on the Jamaican roads - even the French and the Arabs cannot compete with the Jamaicans when it comes to driving manners.
First - some in flight pics taken on the flight from Montego Bay to Kingston..
